Canadian Locators Inc collects only what is needed to answer an inquiry, route a locate request, review a credit application, or respond to a career interest. This page explains what is collected, how it is used, and what is not.

These statements describe this website and the forms on it. Contract, ticket, and field records are governed by the agreements CLI holds with each client.
Locate requests, contact inquiries, career interest, and credit applications are delivered over an encrypted connection to a secure form inbox and to the relevant CLI team so it can respond. Each submission carries a reference number shown to you on screen.
Name, company, phone, email, region, site address, planned dates, and a locate ticket number where one applies. Credit applications additionally ask for business, bank contact, reference, and principal details needed to open a billing account.
Form entries are kept only as long as needed to handle the request and meet record-keeping obligations, after which they are deleted from the form inbox. You can ask CLI to delete a submission at any time.
Files attached to a credit application (PDF, JPG, PNG, up to 10 MB) are stored with the submission under the same access controls and retention.
The ticket status portal at ticket-status.canadianlocators.com is a separate system with its own access controls. Use the credentials issued to your organization.
Office map links open Google Maps, which may process usage information under its own policies.
The home page hero plays a muted CLI introduction video hosted on YouTube. It is delivered through youtube-nocookie.com, which does not set advertising cookies for viewers who do not interact with the player. Loading the home page contacts Google servers to deliver the video, and Google may record that request under its own privacy policy. Browsers set to reduce motion do not load the video at all.
Each form includes Google reCAPTCHA to block automated submissions. Google may collect device and interaction information to make that decision, subject to the Google Privacy Policy and Terms of Service. If you prefer not to use it, message or call the number shown on this site instead.
Phone links on this site open a WhatsApp chat with CLI. Messages you send there are handled by WhatsApp (Meta) under its own privacy policy and are received by CLI staff on a business account. You can always call the number directly instead.
This site sets no first-party cookies and runs no analytics, advertising, or tracking scripts. Hosting logs standard server information such as IP address and page requested for security and reliability.
You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of information you submitted through this site by contacting CLI. Calling the toll-free line is always available as an alternative to any form.
